About me
I was born in Istanbul/Beyoğlu. I studied high school at Istanbul Atatürk Science High School.
I graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine.
I have completed my specialty training at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Thoracic Surgery and was appointed as a Thoracic Surgery Specialist at Şanlıurfa Training and Research Hospital.
In 2018, I performed "videothoracoscopic lung cancer surgery with a single incision (uniportal VideoAssistedThoracicSurgery lobectomy)" and dozens of "VATS hydatid surgery" for the first time in Şanlıurfa province.
After, I attended the academy as a lecturer at Balıkesir University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Thoracic Surgery.In Balıkesir province, I performed "uniportal lung cancer treatment by VATS lobectomy" and "VATS uniportal subxiphoid thymus surgery" for the first time.
We published the "Thorax Surgery Intern Book", with co-editor Dr. Mustafa Kuzucuoğlu. I have awarded the title of Associate Professor in Thoracic Surgery in March 2021.
In September 2021, I started to work as the Head of the Thoracic Surgery Department at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University.
While both patient treatment and student education were continuing in Hatay province, I had to take a break from my duty due to the earthquake. I have been working as a Thoracic Surgery Specialist at Antalya City Hospital since November 2023.
I am married and the father of one child. I am interested in photography, visual arts, gastronomy, travel, degustation and gardening.
Lung cancer diagnosis and VATS (Videothoracoscopic lobectomy), Lung hydatid cyst, congenital chest wall deformities - sunken and pigeon chest - (pectus excavatum, carinatum), tracheal procedures (tracheal dilatation and stent), and mediastinum (thymus gland surgeries) are my surgical interests.
